Pastor Dave Daubert, DMin, PhD

Dave is a second career pastor whose first career was in engineering. That brings a unique gift set that uses gifts for analysis and design that find their way into his church work as well. Dave has two Master's degrees in ministry, a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching, and a PhD in Theological Studies. He also holds certificates in Non-Profit Management, Coaching and Spiritual Formation.

Dave's work experience has included parish ministry, serving on a judicatory staff, and work as Director for Renewal of Congregations for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In addition to his current work consulting, teaching, writing and coaching - he currently serves as pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin, IL

He is the author of serveral books and articles, including his best sellers Living Lutheran, Lutheran Trump Cards,  The Invitational Christian.

 Marlene Daubert, MSW, MATh

God’s Spirit is on the move - in and around us, but so often we miss it. As a Spiritual Director, Marlene will offer deep listening and sacred space to companion you in your story, as you discern God’s presence and voice in your own life. Your questions, your hurts, your joys and all that makes you, you, are welcome in this space.

Marlene is a trained and commissioned spiritual director and an ordained Deacon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Her path has taken her through accounting, social work (MSW at Ohio State) and eventually to the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where she earned her Master of Arts in Theology. In addition, Marlene has a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Presbyterian Seminary in Decatur, GA; and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Sacred Journeys. She currently serves as a Deacon at Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin, IL.
